Despite this success, it hasn't had a fair impact on the gaming world, as most licensed experiences don't live up to what fans want from them. Fortunately, over the years there have been quite a few that range from good to great.

14/14Lights, camera, pants!

One problem with video game criticism is that it is almost always an adult who reviews the game, and sometimes these projects are designed for children's brains.

SpongeBob SquarePants: Lights, Camera, Pants! is a perfect example of a game that is less than stellar from an adult perspective, but as a children's title it's also a fun and entertaining party game. Its only flaw is that it doesn't work as a single player experience, as the computer-controlled characters offer little challenge or resistance.

It runs on the classic star system that lets you know how well you've done across its 100 levels, and its only weakness is that it's clearly designed for younger kids: it lacks any real challenge.

The game seemed like a great time off for younger fans looking for a few hours of fun, but for anyone else, it was a mediocre game that was either ignored or bought at a bargain price within months of its release.

The game also gave fans a look at character styles from various test sketches and other test animations. Squigglepants is also one of the few games to feature an appearance by Patchy the Pirate, who is seen in the series' theme song.

As for the playable characters in SpongeBob SquarePants, it allows you to drive as SpongeBob, Patrick, Squidward, or Sandy. Other characters in the series also appear as members of his crew.
